For Deron Williams and the Brooklyn Nets, training camp is mere days away, so the offseason is quickly coming to a close.
It was a hectic summer for D-Will, who enjoyed a couple months of rest at the start of it, but began a whirlwind finish to his offseason on July 1st. Within days he'd signed the biggest contract of his career, committed to remaining a member of the Nets and then shipped off for a month overseas with Team USA.
The month away commenced with an undefeated run through the Men's Basketball tournament to claim gold for Team USA at the London Olympic Games. Deron returned to the U.S. days later to enjoy the final month of summer before getting back to work. Using Instagram, D-Will took his fans along for the ride.
That ride began in a car on the way home from JFK airport, when Deron snapped a shot of one of those things that you'll only see in New York.

After a few days shaking off the jet lag, it was off to the links, where Deron was paired with Masters Champion Bubba Watson for the Barclays Pro-Am.

While making the rounds at Bethpage Black, D-Will ran into his good friend and fellow Illinois alum DA Points.

Following his golf outing, D-Will got another weekend to relax and took the opportunity for some family time. Pictured are both of Deron's sons in their Nets gear.

Later that evening, Deron and his wife were invited to a special event in the Hamptons where D-Will met the 42nd President of the United States, Bill Clinton.

Deron and his wife also met Dr. Mehmet Oz, a world-renowned surgeon and author of many books on healthy living. Dr. Oz is Turkish, so the three had plenty of stories to share about Istanbul.

A few days later, Deron took a trip over to Brooklyn for a shoot with Red Bull. While there, he visited Tillary Park and went one-on-one with some of the Brooklyn street ballers.

After a tiring day on the court, Deron went home for dinner and his son tried to help prepare the meal.

Over Labor Day weekend, the Williams' welcomed Joe Johnson and his family to New York by having them over for dinner.

At the end of the Holiday Weekend, Deron met up with some friends at an indoor court in the Hampton's to play a little 3-on-3 hoops. Among those who played in the game were New York Knicks point guard Jason Kidd and former New York Giant Michael Strahan.

After the game the entire group, which also included some police officers and firefighters, posed for some pictures.

Then it was off to Dallas for a brief trip with the family. While stuck at the airport, Deron and his daughters had some fun with the camera.

No summer is complete without a few trips to the mall, especially for the father of two young girls. While they shopped, D-Will tried out some accessories to his look.

D-Will and the family made the trip back to New York in time for Deron to take his mom to the U.S. Open Women's Final between Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka.

Serena won the match in a three-set thriller to capture her fourth U.S. Open title and 15th Grand Slam Singles title.

When they returned to their car following the match, a little friend was waiting for D-Will on his door.

That was pretty much the end of summer for No. 8. On Monday morning he was back to work, joining seven of his teammates at the PNY Center in East Rutherford.

They've been going hard every day since in preparation for training camp, which opens next week.
