Deron Williams and the Besiktas Black Eagles left no room for doubt in their Turkish League opener.

D-Will scored 11 points in just 23 minutes, adding five assists as Besiktas Milangaz cruised to a 107-69 home victory over Bandirma Red at the Akatlar Sports and Cultural Complex in Istanbul.
"It sure was a nice win for us to start our long League campaign on right foot," Besiktas coach Ergin Ataman said after the game. "Our defense was a little shaky in the opening quarter, but it tightened up from there on and kept them in check for the remainder of the game."
The host Eagles jumped out to a seven-point lead after one, and by halftime had more than doubled it to 15. The blowout victory sent D-Will to the bench early in the second half, where he remained as the Black Eagles let their reserves finish off the big win. But despite playing just 23 minutes, according to Ataman, Deron did enough while in the game to get the fans excited about what is to come.
"He sure knows how to get the fans out of their seats," Ataman said.
Besiktas has now won four straight games, including their last two by margins of at least 20 points.
NEXT UP
The Black Eagles continue their TBL schedule next Sunday with they play their first road game in Izmir against Pinar Karsiyaka, who was also a winner in their TBL opener. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. local time.
